About San Diego Podcasters

Podcasting is still a relatively new and dynamic technology. Podcasting brings the full power of media broadcasting and a potential worldwide audience to every person who has the motivation to be heard! Meetup groups provide us with a place to turn when we need support. The San Diego Podcasters Meetup group has been in existence since February 2005, just a few months after the inception of Podcasting at the end of 2004. Since that time Podcasting has exploded around the world. Most sources agree there are 10's of thousands of Podcasters already. Yet, the Internet is BIG place, and there will always be room for more great content, unique topics, endearing personalities and highly targeted information. (Does this sound like you?)

Since Podcasting is so new, where do we go for support? Books are great, but there always seems to be something missing. Building a community around Podcasting will strengthen our craft and build credibility. Each of us has something to contribute and all of us will gain from the information we share and the relationships we make in this group.

The San Diego Podcasters membership includes popular independent talk show hosts, new media music and entertainment shows, business to business information casts and more. Many members are video or mixed media podcasters and we have 'just for fun' podcasters as well. There is something for everyone!
