Ben (Bendrix) Williams will be speaking at this month's Meetup (well May 1st but imagine it's April). He will be talking about something that should interest us all:

Using Video to Expand Your Audience!

This talk takes a look at the What, When, How and Where of
video and portable media.

- Fun and effective uses.
- The various media outlets
- How to engage your audience

Bendrix graduated with a BA (honors) in Advertising Graphics from
Central State University. He has worked as a digital media specialist
for six years at the New York office of JWT (formally J. Walter
Thompson), the largest and oldest advertising agency in North America.
He has encoded, edited and delivered digital media since 2001. Outside
of JWT, Ben has directed, edited, produced, blogged and promoted a
range of portable (audio/video) media, for the past seventeen months.
He has been featured in the 2nd edition of the "Secrets of Podcasting,"
spoke at both the Portable Media Expo, and NAB (National Association of
Broadcasters).

I highly recommend you attend! This should be fun!

Ariel Publicity has again agreed to host our Meetup at their location in midtown Manhattan. The location is close to subways, Penn Station and the Port Authority. I can not thank her enough!

Ariel and Bendrix are also members of the NYC Podcasting Association.

Any volunteers who wish to bring refreshments please do so (contact me beforehand if you can so we don't duplicate work). Anyone who wants to help Now is the time.

About Ariel Hyatt & Ariel Publicity

Ariel Publicity was founded 10 years ago, with the mission that all artists deserve to be heard and there is a place for artists of every level to receive exposure. Ariel has managed to place tens of
thousands of artists in countless outlets from national magazines and TV to the most grassroots online fanzines. The publicity game has changed radically over the last few years and Ariel Publicity is working hard to offer opportunities to indie artists looking to get exposure by exclusively promoting online.

This event is only open to a limited number of people because of the space available. RSVP ASAP so you don't lose out.

If you would like to speak at a future Meetup please contact me with your contact information so that I can get you in the schedule.
