Announcing a new event for NYC Podcasting Association!
What: Podcasting's Death and Rebirth - The Future of Podcasting

Event Description: At the recent Podcast and New Media Expo, podcasting was declared dead
by many. In fact, there won't even be a "Podcast Expo" next year -- the
name has been changed by the organizers to just "New Media Expo".
Is podcasting really dead or is this a premature autopsy? We can sign
its praises or deliver its eulogy.
Either way, what does this all mean for us and our audiences? Semantics
aside, Greg Galant will lead a discussion on what we need to do to take
our media to the next level.
Bio:
Gregory Galant is the publisher and CEO of News Groper, a parody news
website. Greg founded Venture Voice, the leading podcast about
entrepreneurship, and RadioTail, a firm that pioneered the field of
podcast advertising. Greg was an associate producer at CNN.com where he
analyzed the latest trends in citizens' media. Greg has worked at
Newlight Associates, a $120M technology venture capital firm. In 1996,
Greg founded Halenet, an award-winning Internet strategy firm. Greg has
been featured in The New York Times, The Venture Capital Journal, The
New York Daily News and Catherine Crier's WOR radio show. The Suffolk
Nassau Chamber of Commerce named him the 2003 "Entrepreneur of the
Year".
