I'm looking for the following information on podcasting. We are doing a project in school. Can anyone help? i have found some but more on cometitive landscape.


. Competitive landscape (industry assessment, stakeholder analysis, dominant players)

· Market potential (market size, growth, key adopters, potential adopters)

· Major challenges / hurdles that this technology must overcome

· Assessment with justification of the potential of this technology to influence business in the future.

I think the challenge you have is that the answers are going to be subjective, as its such a new technology (2004?) that its hard to get accurate information.

Obviously it goes without saying that iTunes and Apple, INc. is the 800 pound gorrilla in the podcast realm. Most of us get 80% of our hits from iTunes. The other audiences are only marginally important.

I think one item to note is they have a special interest in podcasting in bringing listeners to the iPod device but especially to iTunes....because not everybody uses an iPod to listen to me. I know this because we were all recently told by iTunes to send traffic there, as that effects our position on the Featured list. And we are even compensated if we send people there with our free podcast and we get them to buy stuff.
