I've made some great friends through this group whose podcasting expertise and advice has been invaluable, and was wondering whether there's any interest in trying to have regular meetings again.

My own suggestion would be that we address more issues surrounding how podcasting can be integrated into a larger social media network plan -- whether for personal or professional branding. We have several members who can address this.

I also think that at least half of the meetups should be in easy-to-get to suburban locations. Many of our members simply don't live a quick CTA or cab ride from the Loop, Downtown or Navy Pier.

Any thoughts?

I was at those first meetings at the Apple store then the location was changed - was that The Apple Store's idea?

Suburban locations would be out of the question for me, but are there a few people that would like to meet up in the city?

I don't live in the Loop, Downtown, or Navy Pier either. I live on the South Side and going into the city is easiest for me.

I've been podacsting since 2005 and was very happy when Tom started this group. It would be great if we could get it started again.

Oak Park Public Library has meeting rooms. 2 blocks from the Green Line Oak Park Avenue station and about 5 blocks from the Metra West Line Oak Park station.

I would love to start these up again and meet with the wonderful people I met through this group. I can't do the suburbs & would like to see a different venue for the city podcast meet-ups. The Apple store isn't a good venue for conversation.

Also, given the advances in cool tech, I don't see a reason why video couldn't bridge the gap between the city folks and what lies beyond the city limits. :)
