Meetup Description: Dear Austin Podcasters,

I have been asked by other members to go and schedule the meetup formally, so that members can RSVP via the MEETUP tool.
In the effort to have the event in a more "centralized" location close to our members in downtown and South Austin, we are going to have it downtown, at the facility of the coworking firm,

Austin Podcasters Group Meetup

Date: Thursday, 25 September 2008

Details: By September 23, 2008, early in the morning, we will deliver an email to the Austin Podcasters Group members with the:
- details of access to the meetup;
- the web link to get to the webinar site;
- the finalized agenda

More on the VIRTUAL MEETUP:
- Many have expressed their feelings that the meetups IN PERSON were not convenient for physical attendance by everyone. Since we had a wide area of members' residing in ALL sectors of the Austin area, we were never able to get a "central" location for everyone to feel comfortable about attending.
Also, we had some members that belonged to the Austin Social Media club, and we wanted to avoid a conflict with that specific group (both had scheduled the meetings on the same Thursday of the month most of the time). Therefore, we waited until we knew that our meeting would NOT conflict with the AUSTIN SOCIAL MEDIA CLUB.

- Thus, we will have a VIRTUAL meetup over the web. So physical transportation and presence is not an issue. This will be conducted via a webinar-based system with a simple web link for access by the members (that's right, no client code or plug-ins to install for access).

- We will send the details of access in an email notice to the members by the morning of Sept. 23, 2008.

Tentative Agenda:
In the meantime, here is the tentative agenda for the meetup:

-- News about the Podcasters Group: recent events, etc.
-- Introduction of Special Guest
-- "Roundtable" format for interactive discussion to include:
a. Podcaster resources, especially beginning tutorials
b. Best practices and referrals of other free podcast series
c. Tips on software, equipment and audio/video resources
d. Upcoming podcast and social media events

We should be able to get live demos and screen-share functions, so that everyone can "view" any demonstration that perhaps will answer the questions asked.
